Sorry! Box Top Edition!

This fall we have been playing a Box Top Sorry Game, each class has been assigned a color team. I haven't thought to keep parents updated until just today, so here is how the game is going up until today. (Just quickly, the teams move around the board when Box Tops are turned in, for every 10 the team moves 2 spaces. When a class or a team turns in 100 Bonus Box Tops they get to SORRY another team, move to their spot on the board and send that team back to start.)

We had a couple of SORRY's today, the first in a little bit. So sad for the GREEN Team though, Mrs. Huntsman's AM class and Mrs. Ferguson's class were both sent back to start. (It is at least the 2nd or 3rd time for both of these classes. SORRY!!)

Both the BLUE & RED Teams have 4 classes in their HOME, they both also have 2 teams out on the board. Each of these teams have 6 classes on their teams.

Both the YELLOW & GREEN have 2 classes in their HOME, and they have 3 teams out on the board. Each of these teams only have 5 classes on their teams.

The classes at HOME are BLUE; Egan, Lycan, Grigg, Reyes. RED; Haynes, Oberhansley, Quiroz, Petersen. YELLOW; Drouin, Johnston. GREEN; Vogt, Dixon.

The classes out on the board are BLUE; Day PM and Pincock. RED; Egbert. YELLOW; Huntsman PM, Johnson, Day AM. GREEN; Koepplin.
The classes in their START are RED; Hardy. GREEN; Huntsman AM and Ferguson.
We have had over 10, 000 Box Tops turned in right now ($1,000), last year at the end of October we had 18,000, ($1,800). I would like to get close or exceed that if we can again this year!

There will be another Box Top sale at Albertson's starting on the 12th to the 18th of October if you haven't had a chance to stalk up yet. They will give you a 25 Box Top Bonus and a 10 Box Top Bonus and $5 off (instantly) when you buy 10 General Mills participating products. Albertson's is more than happy to let you pay for 10 items and then another 10 items until you get through. That way you will continue to get 35 Bonus Box Tops and $5 off for each 10 items. If you ring them all through at the same time you only get the savings once. If you haven't registered at www.growinglocallearning.com you should! It is Albertson's Box Top site and they will give us 5 Box Tops for everyone that signs up, lots of great info too!!
It would be great if you could ask grandparents, or other family or friends to collect Box Tops for you too! All the money that is collected by Box Tops goes directly to your child's teacher at Cloverdale. They can spend it on needed classroom supplies.
HAPPY COLLECTING!

VolunteerSpot

I found this website that helps organize volunteers for different needs at the school.  I'm not sure if it's going to be helpful or not, so will you test it out with me?  I sent some of you an email, but for those of you who follow the blog I wanted to try it this way.  Click on the link below and check out the sign up system and let me know what you think.  More of a hassle?  Easy or hard to use?

Thanks!!!
